Birthdays!

Another yummy breakfast real fast.

The boys have their birthdays near each other so it was a busy month! For Preston's birthday we went to Busch Gardens and rode only the rides he wanted to ride on. He loved it.

Then we came back home, and that evening my sister and her family came up to open presents with Preston. He loved getting his recycling truck!!

peek-a-boo!

Getting more trucks and Paw Patrol stuff! His favorite.

Between the two boys' birthdays we moved into our permanent housing! So I had to unpack a lot of stuff really quickly.

 Cute Preston.

Then it was Spencer's big day!! I made him a minecraft birthday cake. It was very simple, because I was so exhausted from getting the house ready.

My sister and her family came again up to our place to celebrate with us and it was a lot of fun. Spencer loved his day!

Random Life in Williamsburg

This post is just about all the randomness of Williamsburg that we have come upon. I've noticed though that at every new place we live we always search for good food there first. So there will be lots of food pictures in this post too.

To start off, another pancake place to eat, Mama Steve's. Doesn't it just look good?!

Donuts from Emily's donuts. Spencer's favorite here, for now.

Preston and I hanging out while the older boys enjoy Busch Gardens.

Swimming!!!

Pierce's BBQ is our most favorite BBQ place here by far! The sandwiches are so good, the fries are awesome and the hushpuppies are YUMMO! Preston will even eat them!

My handsome Spencer and I.

Preston look a little mischievous playing with all of his toys.

Trying to make this boy giggle!

We have also found creepy roads around here. We came down this one and immediately thought, we do not want to drive down here at night.

Spencer found one of his favorite candies at the candy shop in Williamsburg! It's a coconut candy thing. He was VERY happy about that.

We also discovered The Peanut Shop in Williamsburg. So many kinds of peanuts to choose from! These are definitely my favorite.

The day we sold our house up in Northern Virginia. A relief to us all.

Some days were lazy days here in Williamsburg. We vegged out and watched TV, and didn't do too much at all. With all the moving around it's just what we needed.

Hey Preston!

Oh goodness, I love these boys!

Busch Gardens

Since Tyler had to start working right away, the boys and I were left to figure out what we could do in our new town. So we decided Busch Gardens was it! We went there at least 2 times every week, and luckily we'd get there by 9:30 and the kids area was usually open. Then we would spend just a few hours there to get back home for Preston's nap. It was perfect!

The boys at the entrance.

Preston riding the horses.

The boys in the boat ride. Which has since not been so much fun, it only goes around in a circle so it's lost it's appeal pretty fast.

We took a lot of selfies of us while there. See how much fun we are having!?!?

On the train, which isn't really a ride, but Preston LOVES riding it. And mom likes it to be able to sit down and cool down.

At the dinosaur play area.

Spencer was so great at helping Preston through this ropes course. We have only done it this one time because it was a bit difficult for Preston.

I kept telling them to look at me and they never did. So I got this model kind of pose out of them.

Preston cannot ride Pompeii just yet, but he sure loves getting wet from the splash of it when it comes down the slope! And I let him because by the end of our time there he is usually dry.

Wishing he could ride the new ride, Tempesto. Which Uncle D and I rode and it was CRAZY!! Only 40 seconds long, but that's just long enough for you to think you are not going to live through it.

Flying up in the gliders.

Another selfie of us in the tea cups.

I know, I know, too many selfies.

When we leave the park we usually will stop by and get a big cookie to share to eat or some cotton candy and then start our way back home.  At the end of the morning we have had so much fun, we eat lunch and then this happens.

Moving to Williamsburg

The move to Williamsburg came too fast, and soon I was out with one of my great friends having our last dinner together. Of course we picked Shake Shack! I miss being able to go out with her and our other two friends every week. It was so nice to be able to relax with them and have fun.

Moving Day. We were exhausted at the end of this day. The movers packed us up and out in one day!!! It was crazy! So we had the next day to clean the place from top to bottom, luckily my friend up there came to help out and saved us tons of time and energy.

Preston did not get a nap on moving day, or cleaning day, so by the time we got to Williamsburg he was tired! Poor boy couldn't keep his eyes open anymore by 4:30.

The first morning of living in Williamsburg and Preston crawls into bed with Spencer. Have I told you that I absolutely love how close they are.

One of the great things of living down here are the amount of pancake houses in the area. Tyler and Spencer even started a blog about visiting them. They haven't been to a pancake house in a while, but I mean...this is good eating!

Another great thing about Williamsburg is Busch Gardens!!! Spencer could hardly wait to go there and see all the rides, even though he won't ride the big rides just yet.

Preston on the other hand LOVES all rides and keeps trying to get us to take him on the BIG roller coasters!

Riding in a balloon. He loves these rides!!

Lastly, the other best part about living here is being able to go to the pool!! The boys have loved it and it's great exercise...and it wears them out so they are sooo very tired at night.

Graduating and Progressing

This was at Preston's little graduation party. Where they got certificates from their teachers on completing the year. He did a good job!

Preston's teachers, who did an amazing job with him and had such patience with him!!!

On the day Preston had his first field day he was coughing like a seal, so I knew something was up. Preston has this thing where he gets a REALLY AWFUL cold every January, and he'll end up having to have his breathing treatments to help his lungs out. Well, I wasn't going to take any chances with this bad cough so I took him to the doctor. Sure enough he probably was starting with croup! So we got meds and started the breathing treatments to get rid of it. The funny thing is, he didn't AT ALL look like he was sick. He was happy and his regular self.

Doing his treatment, luckily he remembered how to do it and was able to help keep it in place.

Handsome Spencer during the last week of school.

Preston got a haircut! I loved it.

Still doing his breathing treatments. He has to do them 2-3 times a day for up to 5-7 days. Our nebulizer is the little dog you see, and after he is done we always pat the dog on the head and say, "good job doggie!".

Spencer's progression ceremony! That is him getting his certificate of completing fifth grade from the principal. The backwards 22 is for the year they will graduate...which is too close for me.

Spencer's teacher handed out in his classroom individual certificates that represented each student. No surprise here, Spencer got the Minecraft Fan award.

Mr. Knecht and Spencer. He really liked this teacher this year, because he taught them very cool things, not just how to take a test.

Last day of school!!!!

To celebrate we went out to see Inside Out in the fancy theater...the one with the reclining seats!

The start of summer lounging.
