Thanksgiving 2014

For Thanksgiving this year, Tyler's twin brother and wife invited us to their house in Kentucky! Also they had a baby in November and were blessing the baby at church the Sunday after Thanksgiving so we definitely wanted to go to be apart of that and to see the cute little baby. Believe me he's SUPER cute and such a good baby! 

Well, we got all excited about going and then saw the weather...Winter Storm Cato was going to be in our path. Great. We were not sure if we should drive through the mountains in Maryland and West Virginia but decided that we could do it....it took us a little longer than it should have but we made it. I was the driver and was a little stressed out about it, because I drove in this for the first 5 hours of the drive! And we still had 5 hours to go after that. 

Luckily we made it to the house with no incidents, and started having fun with cousins and family. Preston loved the extra attention he got from his cousins. This is his oldest cousin tickling him. 

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast! It was delicious!

Then the next couple of days we played and went bowling and went to a movie. It was so much fun, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well Preston did! When home we had yummy treats to eat and I'm pretty sure we gained a few pounds while being there. Here is Spencer showing off his oreo milkshake mustache. 

This was on our last day of being there after church....I think the boys were tired?

Fall - part 2

 Lots of pictures of my cute boys this past fall.

I got my good camera out one day and Preston was intrigued with it, and I got some cute shots of him.

Preston this night was being very silly, and was a little tired so he put the skunk over his back like a blanket. Also, no, he's not asleep just pretending to sleep. 

Even if brother needs to do homework, Preston is going to be near him. 

Loves him so much, and Spencer is so patient with Preston.

Spencer decided he would try basketball out this winter! This was before his first practice, they are the Clippers.

Halloween 2014

We were invaded by Zombies this Halloween. 

Spencer decided he wanted to be a zombie this year so I thought Preston could be one too. Plus you can use all of their old outgrown clothes for these costumes!!! Win/win.

Jamberry

I've gotten hooked on something that is SO not me. I'm not a girly girl, and rarely do my nails, like polish and stuff. In fact, I have one thing of fingernail polish in my bathroom, and I can't even remember what color it is right now. So now that you know that, I don't know why I love these nail wraps that my sister-in-law started selling. I think probably they are creative and give you a little rebelliousness you can wear. 

Here is the first batch that I bought. 

I put on these purple with black bats for Halloween. I loved these ones because purple is my favorite color and I love bats.

These are the Midnight Celebration ones, I liked them too. 

My second batch...no worries I didn't buy all of these, I got some for free for hosting a party. But see how fun they are!!!! Totally wearing my basketball ones for March Madness. And the Santa Suit ones for Christmas. 

Fall

In the fall we had lots of activities and fun.

Preston loving that his brother is home so he can play with him. I think they have too much fun together. 

At one of Spencer's baseball games we think Preston was bitten by a mosquito then had quite the reaction to it. His foot got all swollen and blue and purple. I was worried but luckily in a couple of days it went away. 

You can see how the purpleness covered most of the top of his foot. 

Preston ate PASTA!!! He is a huge picky eater, so for him to eat this was so exciting! We usually will put whatever we are eating in front of him to see if he will take a bite, and he rarely does, but this night he did. I was so glad that he had something new to eat.

Preston in pjs that Spencer wore when he was 2 yrs. old! I can't believe I held onto these pjs for that long but sure glad I did. 

Spencer played baseball this past fall too. He liked it a lot. 

Funny thing about this season though was that we were to be called the Brewers...the printers that did the shirts mixed something up and printed out Braves shirts. So we were the Braves.

We walked to get Spencer one day from school and they started holding hands on the way home. Be still my heart! 

Monticello

Tyler's parents were able to come out and visit us for a week!! We were so excited about seeing them and having them all to ourselves for such a good amount of time. We tried make sure they had fun and was able to do lots of things they hadn't done before. Which we might have succeeded, they went to a Redskins game, toured the Pentagon, shopped with me, and we took a fun trip to Monticello. 

Here is the view that we get once we rode the shuttle up to Thomas Jefferson's home. It is gorgeous there!

The back of the house, after we did the tour. There is just so much information in that house. It's crazy. I do know one thing, Thomas Jefferson invented a lot and was a thinker. Wow.

While we went shopping with grandma and grandpa he got this new train track, he loves it.

It was such a blast to have Tyler's parents come and visit us, and we were all sad to see them go. We definitely wish we lived closer to all of our family.
