Back in March, Spencer was able to participate in his Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby race! He was really excited to be able to make his car and paint it and then race it. We arrived to get everything registered. His is the one in the number one slot.
Preston was excited to see the racing too!
Before the races, Spencer was really excited to see how well his car would do.
Well, he came in last place after his three races, and in the second one his wheel popped off!! Even though he came in last place he had such a great attitude about it. He just said, oh well, next year I'll make it better. I was so proud of him, because there were other kids there crying their eyes out because they didn't come in first place. Spencer just enjoyed the whole experience. He loved the way his car looked and I was proud of him for being so great!

what a cute scout! Glad he was a good sport! We had a few of those criers at ours and i just couldn't believe it!
He makes the most handsome cub scout!! The fun is in the making, not the winning. Good for Spencer.

I love his attitude!! Winning isn't everything. I'm glad to see he had fun. Layton can't wait to do it with Ryan.
